The Day and Hour that no man knows???

Last night as I was reflecting on the soon Rapture of the bride of Christ. Thoughts of what will become of believers left behind flooded through my spirit. Are we living lives that truly reflect the light of Jesus Christ. When we are gone, will those that we know that are left behind see and realize why they are still here and some are gone? I was thinking especially of those that recognize the name of God and His Son Jesus Christ, but do not serve or allow His influence in their lives. Will they come to Christ after that day, or will they still believe the lies perpetrated by those that hate God? Will the light that is supposed to shine through us make a difference? I am concerned that we still get so consumed with the 'stuff' in our own lives and families that we do not allow the true light of Christ to shine through.

For those that know me, realize that I love to laugh. My wife says that I laugh like the cartoon character of old, Mutley. Do we allow those around us to see that we like to have fun but we realize that we stop before sin or wrongdoing get involved. It is my desire that I do not allow my desire to laugh and have fun get in the way of Jesus' light. On the reverse side I also want to be real enough that those around me that do not know Jesus will desire Him because of His light that is allowed to shine through.

Because of the difficulties of life I fear that we will not be remembered by some that are in that group of left behind because they cannot see through what they perceive as sin and wrongdoing committed by us. We, as a family have had numerous business difficulties that have caused financial strain with some friends, relatives and acquaintances. Will those difficulties that we have experienced be the stumbling stones that result in them being left behind? Will those same difficulties also be the stumbling stone that prevents them from coming to a realization that Jesus has always been there,........waiting? I know that I don't want to be that stumbling stone and I don't think that the readers of this site want that either.

Please, in these last days, pray and seek God that He will cause us to allow His light to shine through us and that the mistakes that we have made in the past (or the future) will not be allowed to have negative power over any!

Before I end this today I do want to address the title of this message. The more I read and study the words spoken by the prophets and by God Himself the more convinced I am that we will know when the day and hour is approaching. Are we realizing the news reporting the actual outpouring of the prophecy spoken not only before Christ was born but the prophecy spoken by Jesus Himself and spoken by those closest to Him? The possibilities that we are the last generation before the millennial reign of Christ are fantastic! A few that have occurred in the last few months; Huge reserves of natural gas and oil discovered in Israel, just last week, news that we have found enough oil in the good 'ole USA to last hundreds if not thousands of years and for this message the possible revelation of who the antichrist may be, (no, not Obama), this guy fits the whole profile, even to the point of being a descendant of ancient Assyria. This guy even was the author of a peace agreement that is in place for that area of the world but has not yet been fully enforced. As a point of curiosity, he speaks 7 languages and has been schooled in at least 4 religions.

So, the bottom line, we need to live in this world and let His light shine through us so that He can influence those that we come in contact with so they too will love and serve God through Christ Jesus the Lord.
